A Victory is a Victory, No Matter How Small

Monday, July 08, 2013

After one week of this journey, I've lost half a pound. Like I said in my title, no matter how small, it's still a victory and that makes me happy. It's allowed me to see that although I'm doing all the right things, I can still continue to make improvements and work a little harder. I've set goals for myself as to what I want to weigh by certain dates and what I want to achieve by the end of each month, and while that gives me something to work toward, I know that this will be a lifelong battle. As long as I can lose, and not gain, I've already succeeded...whether it's by those dates or not. So I'm going to keep on trucking, and I know that I will have another weight loss by next week!

emoticon You are awesome and I like the way you think. I've done better since I have celebrated the small victories which really are big ones. I've lost 15 lbs since finding out I had Type 2 diabetes and it's all because I focused on small goals. Do small attainable goals because I know if I fail I may slide back into my old habits. I'm grateful for every step closer I get to be the best me i can be. I remember crying the first time I was able to run for a minute without stopping because I could actually breath normally. Keep it up.
