Monday Mindset.

Monday, July 08, 2013

Just realized I haven't posted at ALL in July except for status updates!

First thing first: I started my new role at the new store a week ago yesterday and it is going fabulously :) Not to say that I need the constant reinforcement, but when my boss was still on vacation that day and came back last Monday and complimented me on how awesome I did my first day... yep, that's pretty great!

I've been having a blast so far working with my current team, and had a lot of good success stories with customers and some really great compliments from them to me as well as to my managers. Once again, definitely feeling good about this!

I also talked to my boss last week about the pay increase and had a little panic moment because she wasn't sure that I would get the pay increase expected because I guess it generally doesn't happen with that great of an increase %. But according to how I figured it, it is about the same if not a little bit more than what was originally quoted to me. Which was a HUGE relief!!!!

I've noticed with working longer hours now and constantly running back and forth getting things done that I'm hungrier than normal. To be expected when I'm on my feet for 6-8 hours/shift.

I've updated my maintenance weight to reflect that. I had it set lower, but with my workouts and how much heavier I have been lifting, I had to get over myself and realize that my weight is going to be higher. But I'm okay with it.

Today and tomorrow I'm off (woohoo!!) and the sun is FINALLY shining here in the sunshine state (oh the irony) so I'm going to enjoy some much needed pool time. I'm going back to PA to visit friends and family, and if my tan is slacking....????? Um. Can't happen lol.

Working out later via weights and maybe a run or Turbo... haven't decided yet.

Hope everyone is having a great start to their week!!!

That is great to hear that all aspects of the new job are going so well! I hope that keeps up for you! That is a lot of time on your feet and with your workouts it was probably good to do a little adjusting. Hope you are getting to enjoy some quality pool time!

Even if you don't need it to feel good about yourself, it's always great when you're recognized for doing a good job! With your longer hours where you're running around the whole time, make sure you're getting enough water too.

Enjoy your pool time- looks like you'll be getting some rain by the end of the week (I swear it's rained more than it's been sunny during the past 2 months!)
Love your quote today! Fits perfectly since I was feeling lazy and starting to slack off at work. Can't have people remembering me that way :)

Sounds like things are going great! Good to hear you're working on figuring out what maintenance range is best for you. I hope to be figuring that out...someday!

Remember that there is a big difference between a decision and a commitment. God Bless YOU! Vic.
