Ugh what a bad weekend weather wise. We have almost gotten our normal amount of rain for the whole month of July and we are only a week into the month. I finally cut the grass yesterday for the first time in about 2 weeks and it was sooo long it was a fight to get it finished. Someone please turn off the hose and let us dry out some!
On a really exciting note, I am the proud owner of a 2014 Mazda CX 5! I had scheduled with a friend to get some work done on my trailblazer on Saturday. He had to cancel because he was sick and I finally had enough of the thing nickel and diming me to death. It seemed every few months it was something else that was costing me 500 or 500 bucks. So, I have to drive to Florida again for a cruise next month so I decided to bite the bullet and buy something that is 1) smaller and 2) better on gas mileage and 3) just new. I havenít had a new car in 9 years. I had a saab that had the engine blow. I had a $400 explorer and then the trailblazer that seemed to suck money into through every opening on the car. Sunroof, window, exhaust you name it, it was costing me money.
So, I went out to just look. They gave me a surprisingly good deal and I took it. I look at it as buying peace of mind. Every trip in the trailblazer cost me more money in something. I was getting to the point where I was scared to let the boy drive it because I never knew if something else was going to break. So, now I am a lot more confident in the vehicle and feel a lot less stress about the upcoming trip.
Now for the bad part of the weekend. Since I hit the 100 pound mark I am struggling mightily with staying focused. I am not sure what is going on but I am getting complacent. So, rather than beat myself up over it, I let it go a little over the weekend. I had some stuff I hadnít had in 7ish months. Ice cream, chili, pizza. I decided to just sort of take a few days and enjoy it all. So, today I am back in the saddle so to speak. I will not drive the new car to the gym. I will walk to the gym and work the core then walk home and finish the grass. Assuming no more rain. So it should also be a good night for fitness.
So, focus, focus, focus. Trying to get it back. lol
