The Value of Starting Over

Monday, July 08, 2013

"So what do we do? Anything. Something. So long as we just don't sit there. If we screw it up, start over. Try something else. If we wait until we've satisfied all the uncertainties, it may be too late." - Lee Iacocca

Hey Sparkfriends!

I'm so glad I finally wrote my blog yesterday -- I felt like the Prodigal Daughter being welcomed back with the fatted calf. (Or perhaps a carrot!) emoticon

I've had two good days in a row. I have a good day planned today -- two classes at the fitness center, a ton of errands in town, salmon, freshly-dug new potatoes and fresh zucchini for dinner. (Thanks to my 92-year-old neighbor with the Best. Garden. EVER!)

Yes, it's good to start again, with a clean slate, a clean conscience, and a clean plate!

You did great for nine weeks and those were stressful weeks at that. I think you successfully controlled what you could. I've never been away from home for nine weeks. What a long, long time to be without the comforts of home and routine.

I like your "Don't look back" words of inspiration. Welcome home.

    LOVE that last visual!

My 91 yr old neighbor has a fabulous garden, too- a 3' high raised bed about 4x6' and about 10 containers (we are in a condo and can't plant in the ground, other than a few border annuals. Tons of veggies and amazing flowers, too. She was SO happy about the tree damage we had from superstorm Sandy as they took 2 trees out that give her a lot more sunlight.
She is my hero!
Has a glass of wine or two every single night.
