I never thought I would be saying this, but I'm addicted to running!!! Not in a way that will cause harm to me or anyone else, but in a good way. Let me explain.
I have been running three days a week since I completed the Couch to 5K training plan in June. Last week after reading an article on helpful weight loss tips I decided to begin running 4-5 days per week. I ran Tuesday through Thursday and planned for Saturday's run to be my fourth for the week. Well, when my alarm went off on Saturday it was pouring rain. I have been caught in the rain while working out, but I have never started out in the rain so I decided to wait for the sky to clear. I kept peeking out the window and going outside to check the conditions. When the sky finally cleared I got so excited that you would have thought I was a child on Christmas morning!! I got in my run and didn't even mind getting caught in a downpour as I walked back to my car.
Today my alarm didn't go off at 5:00 am. I had forgotten to reset it after I changed the time to 5:30 am on Saturday. At 5:20 am my eyes flew open and I realized that my alarm hadn't gone off. I got up and got moving so that I could get in my run and get to work on time. I did it and got to work a few minutes early!!
I feel so energized!!! I love this feeling!! I love the blessings that are coming from running. Last week I went to the doctor for refills and was told that it was obvious that I was taking care of myself. Running is helping me take care of me!!! I can't wait to get up and get in tomorrow's run!! I am addicted!!!
