Ahh nearly a month has passed since I've updated. I'm not surprised because I was barely home in the past month... unfortunately, I had to break my log-in spark streak, but fortunately, I stayed reasonably on track! I did bring my resistance bands in my suitcase, tried to practice portion control and intentionally ate more fruit/veggies. And walked A LOT! As of this week, I'm down 9kg since I started which is officially 20 pounds!
I don't really feel like I've lost 20 pounds, but I am down 1 size in pants, and can see more definition in my arms and waist. I guess I've also gained some muscle from all the squats, lunges, and planks I've been doing. I was hoping for a quieter summer, but so far July is also looking pretty busy, including a week-long kids camp with no A/C (I'm expecting to lose at least 5 pounds that week in sweat alone LOL)
The hard things about summer:
I want to eat ice cream, all the time
It's too hot to move
The good things about summer:
I can swim
I have more motivation to make cool, fruity breakfast smoothies and nice cool salads
I'm already sweaty and need a shower, so why not add a workout to the mix and get REALLY sweaty, then I'll enjoy the shower that much more
I remember to drink water more!
