Recovering from the flu

SO, I spent the last week home sick with a bad cold/flu. Not sure how you tell the difference, there was a fever involved, and I was pretty danged miserable. What is left seems to have settled in my sinuses. I only got three hours sleep last night, I'm hoping for more tonight. The coughing has me absolutely exhausted, but I really need to get back to work, I was out of sick time before this started :(

Not how I wanted to spend my week, I had actually planned to restart couch to 5k last weekend. I'm going to push that out one more week for recovery time, and then get back on the exercise bandwagon. I was really disappointed in this setback!

    Hi, I was thinking of you yesterday as I was walking by a neighbor's tansy. I'm sure you don't miss having to pull that weed! Sorry to hear about your flu, but you did the right thing by staying home (I'm sure your co-workers appreciated it). You will know when your body is ready to start exercising again.

    Being sick is awful! I hope you are recovered enough to get back to work. Having to take time off of a new job is always a scary thing.

You'll be completely recovered soon, and that will be time enough to start your program. Sometimes trying to push through an illness just makes it drag on for longer.

Sometimes we have to pause and let healing happen before we can get to everything on our "to do" list.
