I had hoped our grandís would be here by now.
It is not to be though.
They are still in Plattsburgh. DGS has a really bad ear infection and besides not being able to go in the pool he lost hearing in that ear so it is better he stay close to the Drís office till things are better for them.
They are still in Plattsburgh and I am taking another steel desk to the scrap yard.
Our neighbors came over to ask to park their truck on our lawn so they could get a heavy snow blower unloaded easier. They have sold their other house and the blower was the last thing to move. Their son helped lift it out he is at the Citadel and he is a weight lifeter.
They backed up on our little hill so the blower just wheeled out in minutes because the tail gate was almost on our grass. No damage so it went well.
I remembered they offered to help if we needed it so I asked if they would help us to put the other old steel desk in to the back of our truck. It was done in minutes with no need of help from DH or me.
Now I have another bedroom. I think I will have to buy a bed for it now.
Our Ca Son Called to make sure all is organized for them to come to Maine. His wife and daughter have never been so we are taking them around Bar Harbor-Acadia National Park.
Our Son's MIL financed the trip for them but there are very few time shares in the area. The only time share she could get was in Bar Harbor area.
Our NV son worked there in summers from school so it was the best place for them to see Maine-his Maine, he loved Bar harbor, we all still do.
They will only be 100 miles away from us. Now we are planning the LOGISTICS of all of this.
With the Grands in Plattsburgh being sick a number of things we were supposed to do are not yet done. Our NY Grands were all ready to help me trim bushes and do yard work, they are always a great help but with them sick I have done most of it myself.
Our California son is coming to Maine probably via Wisconsin where he has to go to on a business trip so where or when we will pick him up is still a mystery.
DH and I drove our RV for the first time this year. Just to check the engine, tires etc. We only did our grocery shopping in it. Just in case there might be a problem. The RV will house some one most likely DH and I.
Life is often fun and challenging with our wonderful scattered family. I am sure it is over 20 years since the boys saw one another.
I sure hope we can get them all together. At least MOST of them. Our 50th celebration will be just the family. I want them to be able to chat as our family used to do.
It is less than three weeks and they will be here. HUGS to my special friends Pat in Maine.
