Forced day off!

Sunday, July 07, 2013

Well I have next to no exercise today. I was doing dishes and I dropped a jelly jar. It shattered everywhere. I thought I got all the glass up. My foot discovered differently. I pulled out 4 slivers and then soaked my foot for over 45 minutes. Hubby says there is nothing "sparkly" left but I have to admit it feels like raw hamburger by my heal.

I hoping all the drama with my boss and the owner will be resolved tomorrow. I need some of these stressers to get the H-E- double hockey stick out of my life. All I need to know is if I still have a paycheck. I've never actually had a co-worker ACTIVELY try to get me fired.

Friday is surgery day for hubby. The CT we did this past Friday shows that the tear is growing but the inflammation in this intestine is down. I'm guessing that means the antibiotics are working. He is doing well today and I am keeping on him about not lifting ANYTHING heavier than a gallon of milk. Normally my hubby is not the typical male but he is certainly acting like one over this. GRRR!!!

Sitting on one's arse while under stress is NOT good but I have avoided most of the emotional eating. I did give in to some pancakes but no syrup so not too bad. Hopefully the foot will be better tomorrow and I can get back to running. I need to run off this last MONTH.

Well, I'm off to bed. I don't know how much I'm going to be around this week. Just too much going on. I will check in as much as I can. PLEASE understand, I love and value to you all. I promise to do what I can to keep up with blogs but I cannot make any promises as to my friend feed. Do not take my lack of comments on status as lack of interest. It just promises to be a hectic week.

Warm Wags.

OWIE!!!!! Keep an eye on your foot, stress can make it easier for simple things to get infected. (So does warm weather.)

And just focus on yourself and your DH for the rest of the week! Hope all goes well!

Silly Kitty! Don't worry about us! Take care of that foot and your hubby. Some people, like your coworker, just enjoy making others' lives miserable. Don't give her/him that power. Care for your wounds and get back to your Spark Friendly self when you can! No apologies needed!

Dancing on glass slivers is not a healthy way to redirect your attention, Kitty. So sorry.

Don't worry about us . . . we'll be here. Check in when you can (no added stress) and just do the best you can.

I know how hectic this week will be for you. Don't worry about us, take care of yourself. I can't believe that people act like it's ok to actively try to get others fired. I know it happens, but it just blows my mind that some of my fellow human beings act that way.

You and yours are in my prayers this week. Be strong, and you will get through this too.

Kitty, your priority is family, so be there for your DH. Glad the antibiotic is working for him.

Good grief. So sorry you're going thru the drama @ work as well. You really, really (did I say REALLY!) don't need that, esp. right now while you're trying to support DH. **SIGH**

Hope your heel feels better today.

HUGS and smiles, my dear.

the important thing is taking care of yourself and the Hubs... As for the job.... what is the co-workers problem? the boss needs to look into this.

I hope you used salt water to draw it out and to help heal (no pun intended).
Wow...between what's going on at work, your accident with glass, and that upcoming surgery for your husband, you have a major stress load. Might be good to keep blogging it out of your system (somewhat anyway).
I wonder if you could find some seated exercises on spark people to help with the stress too, if your heel doesn't want to let you do the normal stuff yet.

Oh Kitty, you have so much on your plate right now. For heaven's sake, don't worry about us! Take care of yourself and DH, and remember we're all here pulling for both of you to get well and happy again, and for things in your life to settle down. If you need us, let us know. Meanwhile, sending hugs and positive thoughts your way, and wishing I could do more.

Take care of you and the DH...

As for the co-worker attempting to get you fired, I've experienced that - twice. A level of jealousy and insecurity fuels that co-worker's actions, from my experience. I encourage you to stand on your principles and don't let it set the day's mood. ((((HUGS))))

Ouch! Hope the foot heals up soon. Neosporin or some other triple antibiotic ointment might help work out any potential invisible sparklies that may still be lodged. Hope work issues get resolved favorably and your hubby's surgery goes smoothly. emoticon
