Not feeling so hot today.

Sunday, July 07, 2013

I woke up yesterday with pain in the center of my back, and while I was doing dishes/housework, I felt like I had lactic acid burn in my shoulders. A couple of times I got a little pinch in my chest, but not a lot. I did feel a little short of breath, with pressure. I laid down, and rested, and felt pretty good this morning, but after breakfast, my back started hurting slightly, and my neck feels sore. after just sitting to watch TV for an hour.

So I went back to bed, and woke up at 4 to see my brother off for work, and I am still at 220 lbs. I drank some water, and went back to bed till 9 p.m., and I am cooking dinner and feel okay. The fluttering, and queasy feeling is gone at last. My back/shoulders aren't burning/hurting.

Of course today is when the AC fails..lol. So it is humid and 80 in here. Tomorrow will be 86 for a high, until it rains at night, and cools off, so hopefully I can get them in here to fix it.

So my plan is to stop volunteering for a while, and severely reducing it afterwards, and to stop stressing over finances. I started eating beans last week, and was consuming a much higher Na level, so maybe that had something to do with it. I will cut them out, and then slowly bring them back in, but not canned ones this time. I thought rinsing them might cut it enough to be okay. At first, I was thinking that I might go to hospital tonight, but they will just stop me from eating/drinking for 24 hours, and make me sleep while they up my Lasix. The stuff they use in the hospital is faster acting.

I had also been cut off my nighttime Lasix pill, and told if it was a problem, to resume taking it. I take 80mg in the morning, and 40 at night, and have resumed taking it. My back has been hurting for a few weekends now, but I felt fine otherwise. I am hoping with lots of sleep, I can get better without a hospital stay, and will probably make that decision tomorrow morning.

I had to make a list of my medications, because I lost my medication card last hospital visit. I am sure it is stuck in a chart somewhere. Next I have to sign some checks, and pay off the few bills for the week, just in case. I do this every time I go into hospital, and wonder how my brother would do, if anything happened.

So I am sitting in front of my fan, and wishing I could eat without cooking, but it is a bit warm here, and my brother will be cooking when he gets home in 10 minutes. I am hoping to watch some TV, and feel OK afterwards, then get even healthier with more sleep. I wore myself down, and it may take a few days to get back to normal, but I am just hoping to see progress by tomorrow morning. Waking up without pain in my back was a first step. I have to go eat supper, and take my night pills now.

I hope no one is doing worse than I am..lol. Have a great night.

I hope you are feeling better soon.

For the beans, I would cook up an entire bag on the weekend, portion them out into 1cup servings and stick them in the freezer so I could just grab what I needed. Cheaper and healthier than the canned ones.
