MSG: Is This Silent Killer Lurking in Your Kitchen Cabinets

Sunday, July 07, 2013

I understood that this had been banned in Australia ......... WRONG .... I have had Chinese meal and found later that evening I had a terrible thirst this is why I could tell they were using MSG. I have had a Chinese meal lately and said " They are using MSG " OH no there is MSG in this, later I had that thirst.
Yesterday I went into a Asian food shop, I was bowled over when I saw these large bags of MSG for sale. I had a friend years ago who was a cook in a small country hospital, she witnessed people in hospital that had damage through this additive. I was on a mission to find out, who could I report this too. Reading I find out it is NOT banned here or anywhere in the world ........ WHY !!!!!!!!!! are they allowed to put this stuff in our food, is anything safe to put in our mouth Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
PLEASE READ THIS .........................

Thanks Sandra. I get asthma attacks and a
dry feeling after eating Chinese, so I have to be
very careful. I love Dr. Mercola as when I was in
America last year, my friend put me on his probiotics.
She has researched on so many products after she
had cervical cancer and keeps sending me a lot of
health information. We just have to be alert and ever
watchful. emoticon emoticon

A lot of my asthma is caused or exacerbated b y MSG .. I talked to the medical officer for health on this subject a few years ago, and his answer was that, there is no prove that MSG causes asthma.
MSG is in everything including gravox and chicken salt.
Most Chinese Restaurants use it and so,do most Restaurants.
I eat raw natural fresh veggies and fruit . This have helped me so much.
Thanks for posting this Sandra.. It just may save someone's life.
Look at the ingredients of what ever you are buying and if you see the numerals 621 that is monosodium glucomate.
Otherwise know as MSG

I read labels to avoid MSG because I have a reaction to it....my face and ears turn beet red. I never eat at Chinese restaurants because even if they say there is no MSG...there usually is.

It's so hard to buy anything that doesn't have MSG disguised as some other name - I get terrible headaches if I eat it. We have a chinese restaurant that offers MSG-free food - it's so nice to not have to worry about it when we get it for a treat (although, salt is another story).

Interesting article, SS. Wow, I thought it was only in Chinese food but it's everywhere. I guess the China Diner use it in their food too then? Thanks for sharing.
