Phase two of Weight Loss

Sunday, July 07, 2013

I have lost 41 Lbs since starting on this journey , 26 lbs this year. I am at 158 and did not really want to start working out until I was below 160. The next 6 wks will pretty intense. I need some suggestions . I have been stuck for a month (parties and travel) . Thought about the GM diet, day 1) all fruits, no bananas + 8-10 glasses of water, day 2)all veggies +8-10 glasses of water 3) then fruit & veggies no bananas or potatoes, day 4) 8 bananas+3 glasses of milk 5) 6-7 Tomatoes+1 c brown rice+12-15 glasses of water etc. I need to loose at least 15 lb in six wks and would love to loose 18. I start working out Mon, Wed, Fri and water aerobics Tues & Thurs all for 1 hour each.

I see you were with the hcg at some point. I think you should focus back on the foods that were used in phase 4. I think you should do what you can live with for the rest of your life. Aren't bananas a starchy fruit and is the milk skim or full fat? If so, I wouldn't eat it. I would eat a salad with chicken, or tuna, strawberries, you know food like that and do a moderate work-out. Drink plenty of water too. emoticon

Thanks for all the commits. I am staying on the 1100 or less calories but did not go with the GM diet. I have had trouble with my sugar in the past and was concerned about a day with all fruit. I think just 5-7 veggies and fruits a day is a better plan. The exercise is going well but I can tell that it has been a few months since I went regularly. In Aug we go back to water aerobics 5 days a week. I will probably drop the floor exercise even though it is a REAL work out! Us southern gals "Glisten" quit a bit when exercising! That is good for us though! Ha!

I've been on that diet. Did it for a year. Lost weight, but I did not - apparantly - keep it off, cause here I am again.
I agree with other posters. It requires a lifestyle of eating differently. I personally like the tracking system with exercise that I like. I can stick with that. One problem I face is that I do not get all the nutrients that I need. The tracking system here will guide me - and you to get the nutrients that we need every day.

I guess you have a strict weight loss goal for a particular event. The GM diet may get you there.

Watch out for the exercise. If you are not in the habit of exercising, take it slower. I started out with a 5 day goal six weeks ago, and I just achieved it this last week. By listening to my body, I needed to let my body rest between sessions. But if your body feels good - then exercise away!
Good luck!

I'm with Tryingtolose64. I am not in favor of the crazy fad diets. I just try to stick within my calorie range and work out and lose about a pound a week. This is a journey and with where you are right now, losing 15 pounds in 6 weeks is probably not realistic. Sorry to not be supportive, but you know that a pound loss is 3500 calories and that is what it takes. This is a journey for the long haul.

Good luck with that diet!! I'd personally rather do something that I could stick with for life!
