The Spring into Summer 5% Challenge is over

Well, I did it - I got through all eight weeks of the 5% Challenge and tracked my nutrition and exercise, amassed Live the Goodlife points for the team and tried to keep in touch with other team-mates and encourage them.

Did I lose 5% of my body weight? No.
Am I disappointed? Yes, of course.

And yet, I know I've made progress and I've had some health issues to deal with too. I've found that I spend too long Sparking, still don't get through all the Spark Stuff that I'd like to, and all with the result of not getting enough sleep.

I'm going to get there, though. I'm going to lose my excess weight - very, very slowly, it would seem, but I WILL do it.

For now, though, my immediate goal is to fit into the very special dress and jacket that I've got for my sister's wedding on 10th August. She's getting married in Coventry Cathedral(!) and I'm reading the lesson, so will have to go up to the front and everyone will be looking at me - help! So, I'm GOING to fit into that dress!!

    I monitor my screen with a timer.

    I need the Challenges to push myself to do the right things. I am doing better between Challenges now.

    I hear you on the SP's easy to miss out on sleep and/or exercise if you spend too much time here, and it's easy to do...I have had to cut mine back to keep on track with my other goals. I guess it's just a matter of finding a balance! emoticon

    emoticon Lindsay - keep going, what a wonderful incentive you have. You are closer to your goal than you were before the Challenge! I went to Coventry Cathedral once and it was an amazing place!

    I know about reading the lesson...I read the OT lesson from II Kings 5 about Naaman and the servant girl and Elisha. I get a bit dramatic about it emoticon

    I've done a couple of challenges and ALMOST got 5% once. If it gets you moving the right direction and learning a few new things, then it is working!! You'll look great for the wedding!
