Last week? Um well..... and plans for this one

Sunday, July 07, 2013

Geez, it's been a whole week since I blogged. What the heck? Well this week there were some bumps in the road. Monday and Tuesday were great! I stayed on track, worked out, ate what I had planned. Wednesday a couple girlfriends asked me out to lunch which would have been okay had I stuck to my tofu salad but I also drank a couple of light beers. Now, light beer is okay on the South Beach plan but not in excess. However, I did leave there and worked out instead of joining in the remainder of the festivities. Apparently they went to a pizza place and had more food and beer. emoticon

So, then we have July 4th. I had a small cup of ice cream as a "treat" AND then I convinced hubby to go to a BBQ restaurant where I had pulled pork, fries and another light beer. OH, it's gets worse, I then had frozen yogurt from a local FroYo topped with candy and hot fudge. I could have stopped there and said, this was my one cheat meal for the week. Friday was good. But, Saturday, oh Saturday. First, I'm glad that hubby convinced me to stay at home for dinner because I wanted to go out. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? Anywho, I stayed at home and had grilled BBQ chicken with broccoli and cheese ANNNNNNNNNNND another light beer. So, that's four beers this week (which is in excess of South Beach and not good for my waist) and ice cream twice this week.

Let's REWIND. emoticon

What caused this? I know there had to be a reason that I ate off plan a bit this week. Everything else I stuck to. The days that I was "good", I was good! And I'm happy to say that I did workout on schedule this week minus Tuesday morning when I skipped my yoga workout. So, why did I eat off plan?

I think it's because I let the cravings get the best of me. I crave ice cream and when I eat spicy things I like it with a light beer. Now, that doesn't account for the light beer with the tofu salad but when I'm with friends this is what we do.

Now, my work week was CRAZY too! Friday I ended up searching over two hours to whom a breast implant belong to that we were charged for. NO ONE! The stupid invoice that my financial manager was having a cow over had $0.00 charged to it and once she sent it to me, I pointed it out and she said "no worries then" NO WORRIES!! Well thank you for having two hours of my day wasted looking for this implant, rummaging through patient charts in a "hunt" when I could have been doing other, more productive things. BLAH! She stresses me out to no end and I truly think that some of my emotional eating comes from her. Plus, I did have off for July 4th but I had to work on Saturday and that is definitely not the norm.

Anyway, enough about my woes and my week. It's over. It's done and today begins a new one. I am going to do my best to stay on point. Friday and Saturday are going to be a wash just because I'll be visiting with family and therefore food will be sporadic. I'm going to do my best to eat as much veggies that I can but I will probably have some things on the menu that aren't approved (grilled hot dogs for one.) emoticon

Good luck with your plan for the week! I know it is disappointing to have setbacks, but at least you have identified some patterns you tend to have. emoticon

So glad I checked over here, I have really been missing you but I'm glad I got caught up now! Sounds very stressful, is this a new coworker stressing you out? I thought the other one was gone now.
I have not been doing well but am trying to cut myself some slack and get back on track. I have no excuses. I haven't been stressed and I have plenty of time to workout I just have felt like being lazy and eating ice cream and pizza instead of trying to lose weight. :-/ but it has been a fun summer so far if that counts for anything!
Where do you get ur meal plans, do you make them up or do you get them from SB?

emoticon It's not the end of the world emoticon You've made out a good plan--stick to it as much as possible and you'll be fine.

I know, for me, if I have one little thing off plan, it's a fight to stay on track. EVERYTHING starts yelling my name.

Don't let last week's doing get you down! Leave it all behind you and march straight ahead with this week's plans. They sound so good and I know you can do it! We plug into the right mindset and away we go, full steam ahead! Just take a day at a time and give it your very best. emoticon emoticon

"NO WORRIES!! Well thank you for having two hours of my day wasted looking for this implant, rummaging through patient charts in a "hunt" when I could have been doing other, more productive things. "
* My motto at work is "They pay me to look good". It works for such occasions.

The plans sound good!
