It is warm and humid; but cloudy so at least the sun wasn't beating down an us. I beat last year's time by about 3:30. Around mile 4 I visualized the clock reading at 69 minutes and used that for my goal time time to beat. It worked!
I was not sure how I would do with this distance because with the running class, running with my granddaughter, and the Runner's World Challenge run a mile a day I was not getting in the long runs I wanted because I did not want an injury. So, I feel good about my time. Although I know I could have done a bit better because I took a bit longer walk breaks than I really needed, but staying injury free was more important (I felt a little tightness in the hamstring). Next years goal: 65 minutes.
