Last weekend I attended a new strength training class at our gym called POWER. I was excited to try this class because I thought I would finally get some instruction on how to lift correctly. The trainer was a little more concerned with fixing the radio and getting towels for everyone. I knew I was doing an exercise completely wrong and she did nothing to correct me. Yes I realize she was very distracted, but that is no excuse for her not doing her job. So I left the class. She never asked me why I left or even seemed to notice that I was putting my equipment away five minutes into the class.

This weekend:
I CAME BACK IN A MAJOR WAY!!! There was no way I was going to let her stand in my way. I truly want to do this class. I saw there was a different trainer on the schedule was excited to go back. The workout was a kettlebell workout. Oh yes I love kettlebells. The trainer showed us the exercises and then told us to begin the workout just like the last class. The first one was easy snatches, the second I struggled single arm snatch to push press. I wanted to be sure I was squatting correctly and pushing right over my shoulder. I walked over and asked her to show me again. Without question she did the exercise and I got it perfectly:)
Got through 2 rounds in 30 minutes:
55 snatches
64 (per arm) snatch push press
91 goblet squats to press

Stayed for TORQUE
30 tire flips
40 bodybuilders
30 box jumps
50 Russian twists
Legs were fried on the bodybuilders so they slowed me down a little:)

I did all this after spin which was all butt-lots of hovers. Gotta love our instructor:)

1345.38 miles for the year

    emoticon that you went back to try again with a different trainer. I did a kettleball video the other day and it was fun! I think a class would be emoticon Keep it up!

  I hurt my back(it's better) using a dvd kettlebell workout. Sometimes a instructor is needed. The instructor that was not helpful with proper form was not doing their job correctly and needs to be informed of this so they can improve(if they will listen).
