New Radio and Hearse photos

We broke down and Jim got a new ham radio today. We discovered the one he had bought used from a coworker had transmitting issues. He could listen, but not talk to others very well Wasn't expecting to upgrade so soon, but another case of "I want it now!" was apparent. I wanted to wait until Tuesday to talk to the shop owner as he does take trades on equipment. Since the owner wasn't there today, Jim's feeling were, if we are going to do it, do it now and worry about any trades later on accessories. The thought we could get it for less in a couple of days just doesn't seem to sink in..... So more $$$ on a credit card, something we have been trying not to do..... Gee, why am I selling some of my model horses? To play catchup on some bills.....
Had a nice walk, pretty muggy today too. I took pictures of the hearse I will be putting up on ebay Sunday night. This was one of my Dad's favorite rigs, and I think he would like to see it being shown again. I just don't have the time to show now and am more in to China horses now. Plus I think it will sell well. It has been packed up in plastic bins now for well over 15 years. My Dad and I took the basic hearse and added a bunch of extras to it. The lanterns, handles, flowers, padded red seat, whip socket and whip. I also added the plumes to the harness for the horses. It is a really elegant rig and will offer it up for auction as a complete set with the harnesses and two horses.
And will put up this Custom Appy model too. Done by a well known local artist in model horse circles.
Hoping these will do well. It took me over an hour to get the two horses harnessed up and the photos taken of the hearse. Been along time since I had them out and set up. Think my eyes are crossed now.
