Today my friend and I feel so good. We went to the SVDP thrift store to find a little treasure. We did! We found a young, homeless man with his dog sitting outside, in 90 degree weather, next to his bike and a cart, with all his worldly goods. They had no water, hadn't eaten and he hadn't washed in 3 weeks. He was originally from Louisianna and rode all the way up to the N.E. states and was trying to get back to his home [?] He had been homeless for awhile and didn't want to be around N.E. when the cold set in.
I gave him all the water I had in my car, we went to D.D.'s for donuts for him, and then off to Target to get him necessities and food and food and a toy for his dog . Another very kind lady gave him $5.00 to help him on his way.
Our hearts went out to this young man who definitely needed a helping hand. At least he and his dog will have food and water for a few days.
God Bless him on his journey home. He certainly needs everyone's prayers.
Also the people at SVDP let him and his dog in the store for respite from the heat and also gave him water.
We shall worry about him as we do our own. His name is Chris and he was so appreciative for our concern for him.
May he get to his home safely.

We all should see the humanity and not the impossibility of helping every one of the homeless.

Stories like this give me faith in humanity where there is so much loathing elsewhere. You are a kind heart and a good person. Chris was lucky to run into you today. I join you in wishing him good fortune and good travels.

I love hearing this type of goodness in the world. It's stories like this that should be in the news everyday to spread like wild fire instead of the horror we have thrown down our throats over and over again. You are an angel and I am sure Chris knows this and his little dog too !!!

You are a blessing to know and I'm am proud to call you my friend !!!
