It's been two months since I wrote my last blog entry. I have been busy and I am pleased with the changes I am seeing.
For example, when I last mowed the lawn, I didn't even have to stop to rest and did an additional hour of yard work afterward.
July is my slow month at work. I only go in once a week. So, I get much more activity into my day. I LOVE being outdoors and spend at least half of each day outside working in the yard. When I do this, I don't even have the temptation to mindlessly eat- I'm sure that it's due to the sun warming my body and my spirits instead of the fact I am wearing rubber gloves and covered in soil...
Two other days during the week, I get to tend my grandson.
So, as I have continued my 5 mile runs and exercises, I have found myself getting stronger. I also ordered and followed the spark solution plan. While not perfect at each day's suggested foods and activities, the book and support gave me additional motivation to get the pounds sloughing off again. Although I am only 3 lbs. lighter after 2 weeks, I could be nearly half way to my goal by the time I go back to full time work. Definitely a solution worth working for.
