Made a big decision tonight when out with sister. I will never shop with her again if I'm going for crafts, materials, or something for me. She does not do crafts, and even though I had told her I had 50-60%off coupons, kept pointing out how expensive the material was as I picked it out and kept asking what I was going to do with it. I put all the bolts back and said 'let's go'. She immediately said " I wasn't trying to be smart or make you mad!" I told her I wasn't mad, but I had just decided that she needed to shop with her girlfriends and I would shop for crafts alone. I put everything back and left. We went to shop at the stores she likes and then out to eat, but I will not go out with her again. She doesn't like crafts and her main mantra is 'why do you have so many things going at once'...so my main mantra will be to do it my way..alone. LOVE that woman, but do not like to be hurried, pushed and questioned about why I'm trying some new thing or getting supplies.
Stayed in my calorie range even though I REALLY wanted to stress eat. Life is good.
Honey came home and didn't stay as planned with his DD. and my DD never called for me to come and get GS...so they must have changed their minds. Church tomorrow. It quit raining early afternoon so it might be dry enough to dig in the morning. we'll see. Have a great day all and Keep Sparkin'!!

It is really hard to shop with non crafters who don't get it. Hope you go back and get the stuff you had picked out so she didn't spoil your joy.

I was lucky. Late DH was a very patient shopper in the fabric store and never said anything about my multiple projects although I'm sure he thought I was over-extending. I need a companion when I'm shopping for apparel, but like to shop for my fabric and crafts solo. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

So true, you can't shop for things you like with some people. It is that way with my DH. Just no way I can even get a bottle of Tacky glue without him acting up about the cost. I send him to the fishing aisle and then can browse in peace. Having many crafts going at once, if it makes you happy, she can just adapt. Spending a lot of time with my DH causes more shopping stress unless we are buying something for him.
