Another somewhat calm day at home. I had planned to attempt the gym this morning, but when I woke up around 5a.m. it was obvious I still needed to rest my knee longer. I reset the alarm and woke up in time to head out for my Bountiful Basket. Here's what I brought home minus the eggplant I gave away:

Went to the grocery store after that and then to the car wash before coming home. I enjoyed some time alone and then once the family arrived we got busy on the lawn mowing. My knee is angry with me over that! After lunch I was able to work on some things for the homeschool co-op and am now caught up once again and am waiting to see who responds to the "you can join" email that went out to the waiting list. Now the hubby has started making hashbrowns so I need to join him once I finish up here. Isaac is about the only one that eats these and when we get potatoes from the Basket we shred them, push the starch out of them so they don't turn so brown and seal them up in one cup baggies. I'm not thrilled with the timing since it is almost time for me to begin working on supper and now I can't. Oh well...guess everyone will just have to wait.

Tomorrow we are trying a different church that friends of ours belong to because Maegann asked if we could. She has three friends that she has gone to camp with for two years that attend there. Isaac will know one boy his age too.

Yesterday Maegann decided to try out the new oven by baking cookies. They turned out great and I could tell from that and the squash I baked that we've been working with an oven for many years now that isn't working as nicely. Makes one even happier with the bargain on the used oven!

Some other candid photos to share. This one of the very hot and tired hounds. I wanted to lie down in front of the fan too!

This was taken while waiting for it to get dark enough on the 4th for some fireworks.

This one too. The Polish chickens are looking pretty funky while those head feathers come in!

An update on Isaac's pool project. I think he needs to keep on digging!

And last...just one photo that I thought turned out pretty from the family fireworks.

5% Challenge - Team Daisy: Today was our final weigh-in for the current challenge and I was able to post a loss. Didn't reach my 5% by a mile, but was able to see I am down almost 4 lb. from the beginning and have gained awareness in different areas and some new habits so I view it as a total success. Can't wait for the next round to begin. Go Daisies!
