lost energy with lost weight

This is more of a note to myself, but feel free to lurk. I have been losing tons of weight. I am looking fantastic! I am losing my desire to eat somewhat related to feelings of depression and anxiety. In the past when I lost weight I gained energy. Now, I am feeling like I am losing energy. I need to remind myself to fuel with enough food even if I am not hungry in order to maintain energy levels.

    I echo the replies.....eat small snacks of protein. It helped me as well. I would make small turkey meatballs and freeze them then pop two or three in the microwave for a quick snack with some carrot sticks or cucumbers. Very yum and healthy.

    This may sound strange but I went through the same thing and found my balance to be - eating a "decent" snack (protein and fruit) and then going for a short run. Bit by bit my energy started to return. Make sure that you aren't losing the weight too fast or you are going to crash! Crashing for me meant giving up the run and downing Diet Cokes for energy! Can you say GUT ROT!?!? lol!

    This has happened to me too but once it's over, I go on a sugar binge. Don't follow in my footsteps on that one.....

    I ran into this issue. Right now I am exercising more than I did the first time I did my juice fast, and I should be ingesting more calories - but I am not hungry. As for the emotional issues, Mercury is in Retrograde and it brings up a lot of hidden things. Hang in there, things will get better after the 20th, in the mean time just be good to yourself. emoticon
