Thought and Prayer for Saturday, July 6, 2013

We all have choices to make. At times, we make good choices. Other times we make choices we regret later. Choosing to obey God in all situations is one of the best choices we can make. When we choose to obey Him, we are doing what He calls us to do. We are following His commandments. We are spending time with Him every day. When we choose to obey God, we are walking with Him and allowing Him to guide us through this life on earth so we can better prepare for our eternal life with Him.

John 14:15 ““If you love me, obey my commandments.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we choose You. We choose to obey You. We want to do Your will because it is the right thing to do and because we know that You have our best interest in mind. There are so many ways we can obey You but the important thing is that we do obey You. Show us Your will and Your way today so we can take action following Your commands and lead by the example You wish for us to be to others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We can obey God by taking action on the plans He has for us. He will give us a gentle nudging sometimes and other times He will give us a clear message of what it is He wants us to do.

We can obey God by following the commandments and guidelines He provides for us in His word.

We must choose to obey God in our relationships, in our finances, in our health, in our career and in all things. Only then we will truly prosper.

Obeying God is about doing His will and not our own. There is nothing selfish about obeying God.

Obedience to God is the one thing that will make other things work out better.

Galatians 6:9 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (NLT)
