How can I deal with stress?

Saturday, July 06, 2013

I started a new job that has me working 8-10 hour days. I am so tired I dont cook anymore let alone have time to clean. I gained some weight back too. I have not worked out since two weeks ago before I started the job. How do you deal with this? where is the time to work out? I started drinking that bad for you also every morning but it is the only thing that keeps me up to get on with my days. My stressful environment is not helping. HELP!!!! I need advice! emoticon

    I plan too! I work around 60 hours a week and if I didn't plan, I wouldn't do it either! On days that I know that I'll be at work late, I workout in the morning. And when I can leave on time, I make time to do something at night.

Make sure you have healthy snacks on head so that if you get hungry you eat well.

* apples
* 100 calories nut packets
* Lara bars
* boiled eggs
* lowfat cheese sticks
* water, water & water

    I plan all of my meals for the week ahead of time. Can you work out before work? If you can't then work out at home or even during commercials. I handle my stress by knitting or making cards.

    Preplan your meals and snacks so that they are ready available for you to takes a little "practice" but can save you loads of time, money and bad decisions later...on your off day, I would take care of that...for exercise, it depends on what your hours are...if you can squeeze in at least 10 minutes a day that should help...but don't give up...your body is probably just getting use to the new schedule! emoticon

  When you get home from work you are very tired. Tell yourself you will exercise for just 10 minutes. I have found that once I have exercised 10 minutes I feel much more awake and energetic and willing to exercise longer. (I have found dvd's are great to use to exercise at home). Eat a healthy snack after exercising and cook a very simple to make meal. Good Luck!
