I’ve been really beat lately so aside from doing my challenge video workout, I am taking a rest today. I work today, got some laundry done and set my budget for the month. While I was doing that I caught up on some Big Brother episodes. It was a good morning and I also had a good day at work. I signed up for some overtime next week and am not sure how I am going to keep up my workouts. I will certainly try. I find it hard to keep up this week on regular shifts. I did much better this week at tracking calories and my workouts. I was very good at that.
Today I went to Walmart before work. I actually just wanted to get out of the house. I was in there and looked at sneakers and was not too happy with the selection. I grabbed some sports bras that I wanted to get and some other things. I went to the line that looked quite long. It made me rethink my purchases. I thought to myself, “Do I really NEED these?(Yes, sooner or later)”. Then I thought, “Do I really need these right now? (no)” So then I put them back on the shelf and left. I am trying to stop spending more than I make and actually cut down on my debt. This month I might actually be in red. It would really suck if I was in the red, the price of a few bras or less.
Yesterday, I went for my walk around here since they finally stopped spreading manure. With this heat, the smell was just unbearable. Yesterday, not only was gorgeous, but they just cut the hay and the smell was so good. There is nothing like the smell of fresh cut hay. Maybe it is because I grew up on a farm, but I just smell it and my brain translates it to "I smell men" even though there were no men in sight. I get the same effect with fresh cut wood. I am not a traditional person to say the least and feel that women can cut hay and wood as well as men. Maybe it is something primal. As a newly-wed, my husband reaped the benefits while he was working in a saw mill. Anyway. I enjoyed my walk. I started doing another Runkeeper workout program. This one is running for weight loss. Here are some pics.
You know you’re 80’s old school when you danced a lot to the Aussie band Men At Work and their international chart-toppers “Down Under” and “Who Can it be Now?” – I don’t remember Who Can it Be Now, but I definitely loved Down Under.
