Getting started

Friday, July 05, 2013

So, it's day 1 of SparkPeople. I've set up food, water and exercise tracking. Here's the thing...I get bored with tracking. I'm going to set a current goal to track (and I'm trying to be realistic here) of 4 days a week. I know if I say 7...I'm setting myself up for failure. As I become used to tracking...I'll up it in increments. It's going to be day by day and I know there are some days I'll forget, some days I'll fight myself to just say no to something....and some days when I fail. The goal is to have less of those days as I move forward.

Tracking may seem tedious at times, but I quite like it now. I 'sparked' it up by making up tracker games. For example, for one week I would try and get within 10 calories of my upper range, or at another time 10 calories of my lower range, aim for a specific number of calories etc.

All the best with your goals.
