AWESOME Friday at our house...

Friday, July 05, 2013

I am so excited over something that to anyone else would be a minor issue. Ken was feeling better today and changed my kitchen faucet. I can now turn it off and on without any dripping. It had gotten to the point I could barely (and sometimes couldn't) shut it off. It has been dripping for quite some time and then turned into a tiny stream. We bought the new one before Mother's Day but with Ken's health issues, he hasn't been able to do it.
PTL today when he couldn't shut it off, he decided to just change it!!! AWESOME!!!

Now if we can just find one that will work in our bathroom sink. The faucet comes out of the back of the sink instead of sitting on top. We have been trying to find one for quite some time.
I think they quit making this style.

I went to the chiropractor this morning and I'm feeling much better. I even had him do my sinuses and am able to breathe freely now. Thank you, Dr. Donnie!!! I absolutely love that man!!!

Hoping to travel to Ohio over the weekend. We shall see how Ken and I feel in the morning.
We had a wonderful Fourth of July. I called my older brother to wish him a very happy 63rd birthday. He didn't answer but when his answering machine picked up, I sang Happy Birthday to him. Hope he survived listening to that. Talk about being born on the Fourth of July...he always had fireworks, etc on his birthday! He is the best big brother in the world!!!

Be sure to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you and give them a great big hug!!! We are never promised tomorrow and need to take advantage of every day!!! Enjoy whatever life brings your way and have a wonderful week!!!
Blessings, love and hugs,
Helen

I rejoice with you about the faucet - I had a drippy basement sink faucet that had my water bill almost DOUBLE. Besides that, of course, it is a waste of water.

Oh, Helen, that would be a biggie in my home!! Even just taking the laundry to the laundramat is something to be celebrated in my life. Hahaha...

Glad Ken was feeling well enough to do it. When I need John to do something, it gets done when it interferes with what he wants to do. I need to be smarter about making him do something related to the task.

Have a beautiful Saturday! Blessings...

So glad Ken felt well enough to change the tap. Leaking appliances end up costing lots on your water bill. Might be best just to call a plumber for the bathroom tap especially if they aren't made any more. Sometimes they can come up with parts or a fix.
That is awesome your sinuses were fixed -had no idea chiropractors could do something with that..
I sure your brother will get a kick out of his birthday call! Fun to be born on the 4th!
Hoping you can go to Ohio!

emoticon on the faucet!!!! I had the hot water one dripping in the bathroom and ended out shutting off the hot water to the faucet to stop it from dripping. I finally fixed it myself.

Hope you're both feeling well enough to make the trip to Ohio. Have a safe one.

hugs....Mary Anne

Have you tried a plumbing supply place for the bathroom faucet? The next time you have something like this come up you need to check with places that do volunteer work. Some high school volunteer groups help people do tasks like this.

I have leaky bathroom faucets, leaky laundry room faucets, running toilets, old toilets...the list goes on! emoticon One of these days, DH keeps saying! Glad you finally crossed one thing off the list!

I am curious to know what your chiropractor did for your sinuses? I go to my chiropractor for other issues, but can they also clear up sinuses???? I never thought to talk to him about that!!! Please tell!!

Many, many blessings you have! How wonderful!!!

Isn't it wonderful when our DH's feel good enough to do the "little" things around the house. Right now we can't use the toilet in our 2nd bathroom because it won't stop running but DH can't see well enough to fix it. We were going to wait till after his eye surgery on the 16th and hope then he would be able to see BUT the contractor plans to start work on our other bathroom next week sooooo we have to get it fixed NOW!
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy that working faucet.
