...but I know why...
My schedule changed drastically these last two weeks with working double shifts or very long hours. I get up and go to work from 8:30 am to 9 pm. Last night, I didn't get off until 11 pm.
But I had a very fun 2nd shift! I planned on taking 3 clients with me but 2 decided to not come, which really freed up my time and location.
The client I took wanted to see the new concert pavilion since there was a live band playing. We actually found parking close by and we enjoyed the music, the walking trails by the Fox River, and then the fireworks.
Periodically, they did the Cha-Cha and line dancing. My client jumped right in...he was bad but he did it! I wish I took video! He even met the mayor of Aurora and told the mayor when his birthday was. LOL
Sometimes it is nice to be able to take a client or several to special events...and get paid! In fact, today at the day program we took the clients to Blackberry Farms and rode the train and the hay ride with no hay. We also did the merry-go-round and petted baby animals.
Since I started working double shifts, my weight loss literally stopped. I am still in my calorie ranges but no major real walking. Sometimes we do walk the track but it is not a continuous walk. I stop to get clients motivated, talk to other staff, etc...
Therefore, I am so looking forward to Monday where I don't need to work until 4 pm. I might be able to walk Sunday morning since my shift starts at 10 am. I seriously cannot wait until I am back to my schedule of walking almost every day!
Now, what scares me is that once I get a new job, preferably days, I will lose my weight loss momentum and stall out. Ugh!
Hopefully, when I start walking again on a regular basis, I will break this plateau!
