My first Biggest Loser Challenge thus far.

What does the BL Challenge mean to me... 1 word... ACCOUNTABILITY.
The challenge is not a simple weight lose challenge. The entire challenge is set-up similar to the show in that it is trying to help you begin and maintain healthy habits that you can LIVE with.
Each week we have mini challenges, Tone N Tighten on Wed & Thurs. Weekend challenges that cover Fri - Mon and Last chance workout Mon & Tues. As a Sapphire, I am expected to at least participate in each challenge. As slightly over competitive so and so, I try very hard to get as many points as possible.
It is helping. It is making me move. How? Let me give you an example:
Yesterday, July 4th, we hosted a rather large picnic where everyone brings a dish. Typically, as a good hostess
, I would taste most everything that is brought in. This year, knowing that I would not only be recording my nutrition, but posting my Calories In/Calories Out with my team. I chose a few 'better' items. I still went over my calorie range, but only just.
In addition, today I am exhausted. We had a lot to clean up today and it is hotter than yesterday. BUT I have a weekend challenge that requires me to do at least 3 of 8 workout items from a list. If it weren't for the challenge, and my need to get all points, I'd probably would have taken the day off and figured all the clean up was enough.
It is keeps me going and removes my excuses, and that was just what I needed!
