A few days ago I started back at exercising, strength training plus walking, and following my healthy meal plan, but the second day I was so sore I could barely move and mostly layed around watching Walking Dead Season 3 videos. By yesterday (the 4th) I was less sore and felt like moving around again. Now today, 5 days later, I am finally ready to try it again. Only this time, moderation is going to be my rule.
Today I got up and had my favorite breakfast--a yummy blue smoothie: blueberries, a banana, 2 cups of spinach, and a cup of almond milk. It was filling without making me feel stuffed. Then afterwards I have been mostly enjoying my family but tonight when it cools off I am going to do ONE SET of my five little strength training exercises and walk for half an hour only. A more gentle start. =)
My five exercises are going to be:
1) Dumbbell Triceps Kick Backs
2) Seated Dumbbell Concentration Curls
3) Seated Dumbbell Shoulder Presses
4) Dumbbell Lateral Raises
5) Bent Over Rows with a Resistance Band
which I planned for Day 2 but I was too sore to do them.
3 ounces of salmon with 4 Nori sheets
Spring mix salad with tomatoes and flax seed oil
a cup of raspberries and a cup of almond milk
I feel my plan is off to a better start now. Hopefully this is the start of a nice long stretch of successful days. =)
