Everyday...

Gearing up for Leslie Sanson's walking dvd... Everyday it's the same old thing with her. Walk 2-4 miles and feel great. So why am I complaining! I love her workouts, though I think I may be getting bored by doing the same old thing day after day. What can I do to change things up?? I could walk outside, try a different type of video, do strength training for a change or be grateful I can exercise at all. I don't mean to be wanking here, but I do need a change. I have to tell you that no matter how I'm feeling about my workout I always do one. And everyday! I must keep in mind the great feeling I do feel afterwards. I'm in a better mood and feel invigorated to start the day. Do you ever feel stagnant with your workout routine?

    My solution: turn on her workout, sans volume. Then, crank up my own music using her as a guide. Never the same twice!

    Have you tried muting the sound on the DVD and adding your own tunes? That is one way I get over the boredom and spice it up a bit. emoticon emoticon

    Yes, absolutely. That's why I change up a lot. Leslie is great and I had done her for a long time, but then I started playing some rockin music to it and added my own flavor to her routines. And then, started branching out to more fun dance rhythms on youtube, and now zumba. emoticon And I still am changing it up. With walking, sometimes when I pass a street light, I do a little run, and go to the next steet light or 2, and slow back down to a walk, and keep going like that in off and on intervals. Shuffling back in forth in the hallway is always fun too! Woo Hoo! Here is good article that I hope is helpful for you, plus the ones underneath and the comments. You can do it girl!
