Tonight was family night at the Community House! We did line dances, chicken dance, hokey pokey, crab races, and hula hoop contests! Itty Bitty won the hula hoop contest for her age group, but they didn't let old ladies do it, so I didn't get a chance to show my stuff - lol!) Even DS participated in the crab walk and came in 2nd! He didn't fare so well in the hooping contest, though! We even got to see a proposal! One of the young men who had been coming to the community house since he was a little kid proposed to his girlfriend in front of the whole place! It was so sweet!!!
After family night, DS and I came home and did Week 2, Day 2 of our Kettlebell workouts. I can really tell that I am getting stronger, although I think starting the strength training might have something to do with my weight loss stalling! The trainer on the dvd said that weight gain is common when starting the program, but assures us that it will start going down after the first 2 weeks! I haven't gained any, but I just hate that I might not make my 5% challenge final weigh in goal on Saturday! I am still 1.5 pounds short.
Hope you all have had a spectacular 4th of July today! We are trying to squeeze in all the fun we can while we are here! The weather could not be more perfect! It's been high in the 70s and this morning the low was in the 30s! We're lovin' it!
