Finally a man

My husband stated today that he is finally a man. His parents gave him a travel grill for his birthday 4 years ago. Today we used it. He got it going and put it away so he was very helpful. I think he should be able to handle the actual cooking soon.
We had a pretty good day. We went to a little amusement park here in Green Bay that is pretty cheap and rods a few rides. Would have ridden more, but I decided to wear a dress, which limited the rides I was willing to go on. I told him he could have me either in the dress or going on rides, not both. So we went for a walk at the wildlife sanctuary instead.
I tried something new tonight. We went shopping for gas for the grill and I could't find any zucchini, which I wanted to try the baked zucchini bites I found here, so I got fresh green beans instead. Made my own version of baked green bean fries. Will definitely have those again. Finally figured out how to coat the veggies without making a huge mess like normal.
Saw the fireworks last night at the in-law's. Wasn't too bad. I was late because I was in a horrible mood and just wanted to stay in and watch movies, but I forced myself to go. There was another person there who is gluten free so she had a GF pizza and veggies for us. Next year I hope to go back home for the 4th of July to show my husband what it was like for me. I miss the parade.
I took tomorrow off of work so I gave myself a 4 day weekend. I plan on doing my nails, going the wildlife sanctuary for the otter odyssey, and organizing my kid books. I also have a job lead working with kids at the YMCA. Part of the benefit package is a free membership.
