Independance Day, Water, Fresh Air, Cookout, and Exhaustion
Thursday, July 04, 2013
Well, today is the birthday of my/our great nation. July 4th, Independance Day, freedom won in 1776 and still celebrated today with cookoputs, picnics, pool parties, festivals, parades, and fireworks. A day to stop and reflect on the war that won our independance, The Revolutionary War, and all the wars foughts since then so that we can still celebrate this birth of our nation 237 years later.
We are blessed to live in a free country.
Now, I have lumped water, etc with the Independance day and that is because my celebration included a cookout at friends' and my grandgirl and grandboy and daughter. AFter 5 and a half hours of playing with grandkids in the pool, swimming, and some aerobics, a lot of fresh air and sunshine ( my face is stinging even though I had on strong sunscreen), protein, veggies, and generally good food but not an overabundance of it, plenty of water and sodas I am whipped, tired, worn out, and exhausted. I logged only 60 minutes of water aerobics but I know it should have been more. That is ok, I can work out again tomorrow, maybe behind the lawn mower!
Oh, and Barry Manilow needs to retire!
Lord, thank you for this great country, The United States of America. Fought for and won and defended many times since the intial war of Independance. Thank you for the freedom to celebrate and to wave our flag and pray they way we choose or not to if we choose. Thank you for my grandchildren and bless them and please heal my grandboy. Keep my grandgirl safe and healthy. Help their mother through these difficult times and show her how wonderful these two children are. Please provide guidance and blessings and support for her and the entire family. Amen!
