Gardening is so much better than raking gravel!

Thankfully we finished the driveway before noon on Wednesday, and then I had all this extra time that I didn't expect to have. I don't start my summer school job until next Monday. So I got busy working on gardening stuff, and spent hours at it yesterday, and so far 4 1/2 more hours today. It's hard work, and I have to be careful of my back, but I love it. I am so blessed to live on acreage, and have this beautiful view all around, and fresh air to breathe. I don't take it for granted. I want to count all this hard work as exercise, but I'm not sure how to report it. Yesterday I used the "gardening" option, but it counted as a cardio exercise, and I feel it is really more of a strength training thing. Shoveling manure into a wheelbarrow, and then into the garden bed is a lot of heavy lifting. Also, pulling stubborn weeds feels more like an arm workout than a cardio exercise. Anyone have any ideas about this?
