Planet Fitness - BOO!

Thursday, July 04, 2013

ok - so I enjoy going to the gym at night...

Last night - I drove to 2 different planet fitnesses - normally open 24hours - that had little paper notes on the doors that said - closing early wed for July 4th!

URGH - So - no gym until Saturday according to their schedule - and I was going everyday for cardio - I needed to be there.

Just when I get enough guts up to go - they shut me out - Boo to planet fitness

I belong to Planet fitness.. my location had a sign posted on the front door a week or two ahead of time that they would be closing early (5pm) on July 4th. I didn't begrudge them... I was lucky enough that my workplace was closed entirely!

It was the 4th of July! Wow. I don't blame them. It's like asking them to stay open on Thanksgiving or Christmas. Everyone deserves a holiday once in a while.

I agree, have a backup plan next time. Go for a walk, lift some weights, do something on your own.

Sorry you were disappointed but I wouldn't pin it on Planet Fitness necessarily. There are always exceptions to the 24/7 rule.

I had the same thing happen! I was so disappointed that a gym that is suppose to be 24/7 wasn't open... :( Hope you were able to find another activity to do, I did a run instead.

Things like that happen. Always have a back up plan. Go walking. Use the interval method. Or look on SparkPeople for a good work out. They have a lot of good cardio and strength training you can do without much equipment or even none. Keep the Spark going and take good care of yourself. Just remember, sometimes things just don't work out. Just don't give up or give in to disappointment. You will go a long way in success.
