Firecrackers and Baby Boom!

Thursday, July 04, 2013

Working today in the post-partum unit as a patient care tech. There are lots of new mom's here that don't speak English. They are from all over the world. We have our special language line phones here. Our census was down, but now we are very busy. The babies are exploding like fire crackers. Mom's from Russia, Afghanistan, Egypt, Vietnam, former Yugoslavia, Ukraine. I'm glad I'm working here. I just had an excellent evaluation and raise! It's a good team environment.

We are getting lots of rain down here. The mangoes are ripening now. I'm fixing lots of things on my own lately, toilets, scooters, pool pumps, etc. One day at a time on my eating plan.

Happy Independence Day!
