A running game with the grandchildren is monitoring the cookie jar, the youngest especially. She's convinced that 1. there is a cookie thief and 2. I am that cookie thief. Cookie thief, cookie monster, me not know, but me do like cookies!
Actually, the jar is normally empty on purpose, but I did buy some for their last visit for the little one to periodically inventory - and sample. I know her mom is otherwise strict about treats, she's at a perfect weight, so a few cookies aren't going to hurt her. I, however, do have to be careful, because the remaining cookies don't leave with the grandchildren.
So, yes, I've been having a few every day recently. Not enough to gain weight, but it probably has slowed my weight loss a little. I can say, however, that this isn't the Girl Scout 1 sleeve = 1 serving kind of binge, so yes, I'm going to enjoy the last of those oreos tomorrow. And everyone of them was logged here in SparkPeople.
We all have our weaknesses. Some people love cake, especially those new designer cupcakes, but they don't interest me beyond the social occasion prompting their presence. A common prescription is to avoid stocking or encountering them, lest we succumb. I say, learn to confront them. That doesn't mean abstinence, just some moderation, and full accountability whichever way you track.
So me will track, but yeah, me love cookies!
