The streak is over

Thursday, July 04, 2013

Final result - 30 days.

I woke up this morning and realized that I had forgotten to do the rest of my exercises last night before bed.

I don't want this to be the end. I have a habit of giving up on something if it doesn't work. But so much good has come from this streak that I am ready to start another one.

I am also on emotional overload. Trying to find the courage to pack up my house so I can sell it and being over tired from jet lag has gotten me a bit down in the dumps. Not moving a lot, sitting around, surfing the web and being lazy.

Also need to find a good home or homes for my two cats before I head back to Taiwan.

Overall, not doing so well. Have a lot to do today though, so time to get moving.

Happy 4th!

Thanks for the encouraging words ladies. With the last couple of days, the jet lag is better and so not as much emotional turmoil as before.

Dusty, I have committed for another year and have no job here so I kinda have to go. I could rent my house, but it's hard to be a landlord all the way over there and so the responsibility would fall to my mom and step dad and they already take care of 3 houses and my 2 nephews on a regular basis and so I really couldn't ask them to do that. Even if I was staying in the states, I just can't afford it on a single salary. I don't know how much longer I will be living in Taiwan and this just seems to be the best way to go. I know there will be another house some time in my future :) It's just hard to let go now.

To quote Mike Kramer, a Staff Writer for SparkPeople:
"If you break your streak, donít get discouraged. Just try to outdo yourself next time. Streaks arenít about perfection. Theyíre about doing better."

My first thought was, do you really have to go? Have you thought about renting your house? For some reason I didn't think you were going to be over there permanently?

But I know you love it there and teaching.

Taiwan... think of the adventure! Try doing something good for yourself so you regain your energy. A little nap... a massage... a walk in nature... call a friend.

Breaking the task into smaller to manage jobs is helpful. Good luck and safe travels.

hugs emotional overload is a hard thing to work through.. just pack on box at a time. it might lead to more . .but tell yourself one and see how that goes..

Best wishes on your move .. Moving is always stressful so be kind to you and do what you can ..
