Last nights jog on the beach with hubby

Thursday, July 04, 2013

It was great! Just him and I went to the beach at night for safety purposes the two kids stayed at home with MIL. I guess it was a date night :)
And we got to the top where we park the cars and out of the blue hubby says we are going to jog on the sand. I thought really in 12 years you've never jogged and he's like yeah but I used to. So we start jogging on the wet sand and I was flying past him. I was in the zone but I slowed down a couple of times cause I noticed he was walking fast. It was so wonderful running in the sand the beach was lit so you could see where you were going and I didn't have the added resistant of pushing the kids. Sweat dripping fat crying and I had gone 1.63 miles more than the 5 miles I had already walked that day. I am so glad I said yes to going with him. He is losing weight really well I am so proud of him. Last month he weighed 299 lbs yesterday 278 so proud of him. I walked/ jogged 6.3 miles he did 8 miles b4 bed.
Later when we where going back to the car I asked him why he wasn't jogging and he said he had but knee started buggin so he went back to the fast walk. Happy he listened to his body.
