My Independence

Thursday, July 04, 2013

It's Independence Day in the US. Happy 4th!!

What about my own personal independence?
I've always been self-reliant.

I don't know why food's always been an issue. It was there when others were not? I don't know, but I'm tired of it. I want food to be fuel to keep my body running. Ok, on special occasions a treat is nice, too. But no more of using food for comfort and solace.

I am declaring my independence.

Yeah, ok; maybe that's easier said than done.
Like the obsession of some Americans with the affairs of the Great Britain's royal family?

Will we ever have be able to say food will leave our lives, especially the kind that is harmfull to us? I think now, at least not unless you are strong enough to say no. When we had children we were always saying no to them when they touch what was not good for them, so why can't we say no now?

    No REAL connection...
But didn't we declare independence from THEM?
Ironic, in my warped view of the world...

I mean no offense to anyone - I just thought the pic was amusing.
And my sister loves following the adventures of the royal family.
