I will only know if I can be a WW success story if I follow their program.
So what do I have to lose by giving it 100% effort?
- I lose a few minutes of my day to track
- I lose a bigger bit of goofing off time to exercise
- I will hopefully lose the fat clothes in my closet once I...
- LOSE SOME WEIGHT!
I will lose my jiggly thighs, my bat wings, and my pudgy belly.
I will lose my self pity and low self esteem.
I will lose all the misery that makes up most of my day.
I will lose the morning guilt after a previous day of binge eating.
I want to be a BIG loser...I want to lose all of the above!
I can only do that if I actually DO something to make it happen. Every day. I have to do it even on days when I don't want to. I have to do it no matter what the weather or how busy I get or what obstacles life throws at me. This is my second job (my first pays the bills). This second job is just as important and I need to make time to do it. Even on weekends and holidays and vacations.
My Commitment: I pledge here and now that I will NOT quit WW until I have done their program with 100% effort for at least the next month. If at the end of the month I do not have a measurable change in my size and / or how I feel, I can quit then. It doesn't matter how many pounds I lose (it does, but not for this pledge) - what matters here is that I give it all my effort so I can honestly make a good decision in a month as whether or not I can commit to this program as a life style change rather than a temporary diet.
I start today - Independence Day - a day to fight for My freedom from the old me and the old mindset and the old attitude. At tonight's fireworks - I'm going to celebrate ME.
