Where's Your Mind At??

Thursday, July 04, 2013

I have been thinking abit about this today. How our mind has to be in the right place to tackle things. And it is our mind that determines how we think. Our thought process, it is a very interesting thing our brain. I mean it looks like a pile of mush. Yet it contains so much-unlimited information. How to do this, how to do that. Things we do without thinking our brain controls these things like movement, reflexes, etc etc. But at different times throughout our life our perception of situations is at different places. I mean when someone is set on thinking one way, it is very difficult to change their mind.
And this is also the case when we believe we can or can't do something. If we think something is achievable, then it more likely will be, because we believe we can do it. If we think "I can't do it", then it is going to take alot of persuasion to change the mind of someone to make them believe they "Can" do something.

We really are so capable if we allow ourselves to be. Our mind can be directed to do basically anything we want it to-within reason. Along with some key elements, and they can depend on what they are which can vary from person to person. Determination, perserverance, persistance, dedication, etc etc. The truth is-we all can do it-believe emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I agree that you have to "want" something to get it or do it. But I also think you must be in the right mindset. Because wanting to change takes a lot of determination. I mean you can want something. But it doesn't mean you are ready mentally to change. Coz changing takes a lot of work. It comes with ups and downs and disappointment, perseverance. It takes ongoing persistance. It means changing habits which sometimes have taken years or a lifetime to master.
But on saying that emoticon emoticon emoticon

I've always heard said, "It's mind over matter."

We keep saying yes we can but do we? We wonder why we do not succeed. I often said you can not lose weight unless you really want to. No one can tell you, you have to want it, before you can actually become the person you really want to be.
