Water For Elephants

Thursday, July 04, 2013

Happy 4th of July first of all.
Today I'm grateful for the movie called
Water For Elephants...

We watched it and it made my grandma laugh so much I forgot how good it felt to hear and see her happy so much of her time is spent angry and taking it out/blaming me because of her dementia its just a great thing to see her smiling and laughing so I'm grateful for that today.

It truly is the little things that mean the most.

Loved the book but I couldn't watch the movie...much too sad for me! I feel for ya with the dementia. (My mom is 53 and has advanced Alzheimers, so I really miss hearing her laugh as well.)

Have a great holiday!

Yes, nice to see those with dementia, or, in my case, alzheimers (DM) have a little fun.

Good movie. I am glad that she enjoyed it and I am glad that you were able to see her happy again. Dementia is something I hope I never have to experience. It's so sad. I hope that you get more of these good days. emoticon
