We had sunshine today, it felt really good to walk outside.

Wednesday, July 03, 2013

My walking buddies wanted to walk the rail trail. DH and I and three others did a slightly shorter walk since we decided we would drive to BOOTHBAY to the coastal Maine Botanical gardens.

We walked. I have over 10,000 steps despite leaving my pedometer in the car
for a while. I did go back to get it so it was a great day.

We decided to eat lunch there too. They serve really healthy food. Most of the food was right from the gardens or their greenhouses. I has crab quiche oh it was good along with a nice green salad.
DH and I were expecting the Grand's, alas they are both sick so they will stay in NY. We made no other plans but we have a lot f things to do still at the house. It is coming along well we have the basement work room to really dig out.
DH seems to have tool everywhere. I have freed up several metal shelves So I am hoping to help check out the tools. Get rid of some old ones and we might need to buy some replacements.
Now it is time for me to get to bed. Thanks Pat in Maine.

I hope you all enjoy a wonderful day tomorrow.
We will be celebrating Independence day, 4th of July despite there are just the two of us. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I'm disappointed that your grandkids are sick. I hope they have a speedy recovery. It was just the 2 of us most of the day too. My son came home from work at 6. We had a nice meal.

I hope you enJOY the 4th celebration! It's just hubby & I too, & I kind of like it quiet now. Young families like to run & do lots of things, & I'm just not up to all that running for picnics & fireworks & such. Too much food & too late at night for me. Give me simple & I'm happy!

    Happy 4th! emoticon

    Pat,
You have been working hard to get so much accomplished. Good for you!

Off work today, just taking it easy. Back to work tomorrow, will be in the office by myself until 9:30. Hopefully I can get a lot accomplished.

Working on plans for the weekend. Taking my friend out for her birthday lunch, it was the day before mine. Then the usual church and bistro on Sunday.

Just talked to my daughter, trying to figure out what we can do for her birthday which is on Sunday. May celebrate hers the following weekend. Then I have another friend who's birthday is tomorrow. Just to many birthdays this month.

    Time for lunch.

Hope everyone is enjoying their 4th of July.

I bet I'd love your Botanical Garden even on sunny days although your dh and I both might be looking for very large plants. under which to hide from the sun. I hope you have a lovely day today. I'm treating the women at the shelter to dinner on the grill. I got them burgers and hot dogs but told them no chips or pop - I'm showing them how to grill zucchini, asparagus and corn cakes. I got them some sparkling juice too. It'll be a nice time for all of us. I'll be thinking of you! emoticon

Crab quiche sounds awesome! Good luck on your reorganizing--we have only been in this house four years and already my dh has the basement and garage packed with his "stuff." Pretty scary...but at least it keeps him busy!

Sounds like a perfect day with the sunshine.
Your lunch sounds nice and healthy and to know
it comes from their garden makes it more special.
Sorry to hear that the Grands aren't coming but
if they're sick, it's better you don't catch any colds
or anything. Have a Happy 4th July. emoticon

emoticon My husband has so many tools and a lot of duplicates...I would love to go through and get rid of some of them! Take up too much room for one thing! He says you never know when you will need them! He isn't that much of a handyman around the house anymore, so tell me when will he need wood saw for one? The list goes on and on. I hope you make headway without working yourself half to death. It is hard work, I know! Enjoy your day! I hope the grandkids get well soon, so they can come visit! emoticon
