Being careful who I open my door too.

Wednesday, July 03, 2013

Many year a go as I was home alone; a man came to our door. I answered the door. (It was at a time people did not have to lock doors the way they do now.) I opened the door and the stranger put his foot in the door. He did not say a word but pressed hard against the door with all His might. He was a big strong man and no way could hold that door but in my heart I was crying out to my Lord God. HELP ME! Suddenly the door slammed shut and the man ran as if he had been shot. No one else was anywhere to be seen. But God had answered my hearts cry, and shut that door. He had made the man stop pushing and to run as if he was running for His life. God is able. Fear Not! Psalms37

The reason I tell the above story is to share a TRUTH. Be careful who you open the door of your home to. (At the door, books, on T.V. or computer or etc.) You may get someone who wishes to do you harm. We must be on our guard but not fear. 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.     Yes! God can and does protect us. I wonder how many times we are protected without even being aware of the danger around us.

I heard a sermon along that line. this is very true we need to be very careful about who we open the door too. a lot of the problem among Christians is they don't use discernment if they feel uneasy about something they will shrug it off and not even go to God about why they feel as they do. Discernment is truly lacking these days.

I totally understand what you mean! I am very careful who I open the door to in evey which way. I donot open doors for people I do not know, not anymore! I don't watch TV, very careful with books, and have an internet "cleaner". We live in very wicked times!
