A few weeks ago I started waking up early in the morning with plenty of energy and started going for walks and managed my diet better. As a result I lost 10 lbs and felt great! So then I go in for my annual checkup and did my fasting labs; the next day I get a phone call saying I am diabetic and my doctor wants me to come in. My A1C count was 10.9. I go in on Friday to see my doctor, my guess is that he isn't very happy with me.

Wow what Bummer to hear! I have been Type 2 for 17 years and I remember how frustrating it was to be told that the rest of my life I would have to eat a totally restricted diet or have "complications" Happily today they know that your diet can be almost normal if you eat healthy and exercise. Obviously if you have just lost 10 pounds ( emoticon ) you have that covered. If you need to talk about it I am on Spark as near as the nearest Spark mail.

I think he'll also be happy to hear that you are making healthy lifestyle changes. It's amazing how forgiving our bodies are. I hope diabetes goes away with improved nutrition and exercise.

Sorry! But stick with it! Eating healthy is important to managing diabetes! emoticon emoticon emoticon
The doctor shouldn't be upset with you! Diabetes is a disease and not your fault!
