My GS came to the rescue last night. DD invited me down for supper and sister and I went. I took blueberries for GS and we totally enjoyed the treat. He could live on fruit..but he doesn't like the texture of melon. We played hide and seek, made a tent, read, I gave him a bath and played basketball and hugged. DD showed me pictures of her latest business trip that was to Las Vegas and told me about her career and we made plans for the weekend dog watching schedule. I'll be visiting several times tomorrowYea family time!!
Today was 100% improved. I worked with the doctor for the day and when the partner left I wasn't done with the day's follow up and stayed off the phones. Of course that will make headlines with the managers...but I made up my mind that I can do one thing at a more, no less.
Had an eye exam tonight..getting worse...but so thankful there's such a thing as glasses. Picked up my meds too. Inspired me to lose more weight and get off of them...Too expensive..and would be worse without insurance!
Ate out with Honey and sister and came home for the night. I'm working on changing my attitude...can't control the world, but I can control me! Keep Sparkin'!!

You are so right we can only control ourselves.....I've stopped trying to change other people's attitude's...they only one I can change is how I react to others......

When I get really down I watch POLLYANNA with Hayley Mills. It is my favorite all time movie and reminds me to be grateful & play the "glad game". Silly, I know. It helps me though. I hope that you have a happy & Blessed 4th of July.

Wanting to control the whole world's outcomes has always been an issue with me. Now in retirement, I'm working on my attitude too. Sounds like a great day, enjoy your holiday.

We can control how we react to what the world throws at us.
I'm with you on getting off medicines someday!
