Starting again! 7/3/13

Here I go again but this time it is with purpose! I just was diagnosed with high blood pressures and high cholesterol. I must get both down!!! The doctor told me by losing the weight both things can be fixed. So there is my motivation. This week I walked for at least 45 minutes I have tracked my food using the sp food tracker. So far this week I am very proud of myself but I know I have a long journey and I need the encouragement of the spark people community to keep me going.

I had normal blood pressure all of the years I was overweight. When I lost 50 lbs and exercised everyday, it went up, and up and up to the point it was 190/120 many days and required medication to bring it down. Fortunately with continued exercise and good healthy eating, even without more weight loss it came down. My meds were cut in half and it's still in the normal range. I know it's the consistency of good eating and exercise that's helping.
