Week 26 In Review
I lost a little weight. Yay! It was a difficult week. There was a lot going on, yet it all worked out. I even got myself back to the pool. When I couldn’t get a ‘complete’ workout, I walked a few minutes, and it’s true: those minutes add up.
I learned that when I have a lot to do, I don’t graze. I guess that adage about idle hands is right. I get snacky when I’m bored or when I want to drown out some tension. If I deal with the issue and keep active, then I don’t feel an urge to eat. Imagine that!
With so much going on, something had to give and it was the housekeeping. I need to clean things up.
Oh, btw, I did have one chance to try the tactic to avoid snacking and it worked. I did ten squats with the refrigerator door open and the box of goodies staring at me and I put the box back and closed the door! I had already eaten one goody and that was satisfactory. The moment it took to do the squats helped me tune into what I needed at that moment, and it was to turn the lights out and head for bed. Sleepiness makes for less than optimal food choices.
Next week’s plan:
Continue doing at least 300 minutes of fitness and also logging food. Snack when I’m hungry, not when I’m bored or stressed.
Up ahead is a holiday weekend. I’ll visit an amusement park, which means food choices are not optimal, yet there will be lots of walking. We are having house guests too and that might stir things up. I plan to listen to my needs, in every regard, so I can stay on track.
